Pakistani Students Explore Türkiye’s Cultural and Educational Heritage

A delegation of 70 high-achieving students from 29 educational boards across Pakistan visited key educational and cultural sites in Türkiye as part of their visit under the Prime Minister’s Initiative for High Achievers.

The students paid homage at Anitkabir, the Mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, and later visited the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB), where they were briefed on Türkiye’s higher education system and scholarship programs.

The delegation also visited the Middle East Technical University (METU) for an interactive session on academic and research opportunities, and the Presidential National Library of Türkiye, where they explored its modern facilities and digital learning resources.

The visit reflects Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif’s vision to reward merit, strengthen educational collaboration with Türkiye, and enhance people-to-people linkages between the two brotherly nations.

The students toured the Anitkabir Monument, Ankara Atatürk Secondary School (where they interacted and shared lunch with Turkish students), and the Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAS). They also visited the Haci Bayram Mosque, followed by cultural exploration and shopping time.

This visit is part of the ongoing series of exchanges that continue to strengthen the longstanding friendship between Pakistan and Türkiye, promoting educational collaboration and cross-cultural understanding among youth of both nations.
